GM Failing Apart...Free Market Losing a King

The word is coming that GM is now basically Government Motors. The term of the day is taxpayer owned, but let's face it; GM is government owned and tax payer funded. The problems with a government run business are immense (I present exhibit A- Amtrak and Jaguar) and I hope to post about this later. But right now I wanted to encourage even more so the investment into gold and silver.

The spot price is going up, but deals can be found and it doesn't really matter if that is in gold, silver or platinum (which is really for the big dogs).

Anyhow, I wanted to add some more links to stories I have done for eHow, which is nice residual income for anyone interested, check it out and sign up.

How to Buy Gold and Silver

The dollar is starting to show signs of losing its' value as the world's top monetary device. The reason is the continued growth of the national debt and fears of inflation.

It was recently reported that .50 cents of every dollar being printed is done so with borrowed money. Add in the fact the United States Federal Government is simply printing money for the purpose of handing it out and problems are looming.

The added money is a major problem as money flooding the system will push us closer to not only inflation, but possibly hyper-inflation as the Federal Reserve has indicated they will not increase interest rates.

So where does this leave the common investor? It leaves us with a number of options, including gold and silver bullion.

Gold and silver comes in numerous forms, but for the common investor, the optimal form is coins. Gold and silver coins offer an easy way to not only purchase, but store bullion.

Many investors are scared off by purchasing coins as they have been commonly labeled a collectors item, not an investment. This is simply not true as the American Gold Eagle, Canadian Gold Maple, American Silver Eagle and Canadian Silver Maple are a just few examples of coins that act is bullion. Investors are buying these coins, not for collecting, but as investments.

Gold and silver coins are easily purchased, require minimal knowledge of coins and best of all are easily stored and kept away from the IRS.

As the signals of difficult times grow stronger, look into silver and gold as a protection device, by transferring 20% of the portfolio into gold and silver.
